A mixture of art, events & different places we’ve visited that were interesting enough to share. A day in the life of the Sldrs.

Kickstarter Film Festival

kickstart1

Yesterday, in the middle of Fort Greene park, they held a film festival for a *short list of films that have been successfully funded through the site. While we weren’t able to see all of them in their entirety, it was still a great show. Talking Guitars, talking colors..a lot of talking. An all around entertaining night.

And incase you wanted an idea of what you missed, check out what may have been the best preview of ALL the films:

Food & Music Festivals

Thats the name of my alternative album. Anyway, part of the reason I personally love the summer, is for the opportunity to roam around and catch the many events that take place in the nice (*humid) weather. Who knew there was a food truck rally on a bi-weekly basis? I did my best to not embarrass myself with insane amounts of food – but it was tempting. Stopped by the 5050 Festival and had a good time too. I’m always here for music, regardless of genre. All in all, a good weekend.

Hands on.

Fun with charcoal! Drawing..well art in general can be so calming. I’m pretty hot or cold when it comes to making eyes. Either I nail it, or its way off. I’m not necessarily the best at the “lift off” technique, but it’s still fun to do. Whatever it is you do to pass the time, I hope it brings you joy like creating does for me.

Sldrs w/ Tacos

Because, why not?

Took to the Williamsburg Bridge over the weekend for food and random shenanigans. And of course found some time to throw up a few stickers. Nothing crazy. If you happen to be in the area (and they’re still up), go check ’em out.
