Cinematic masterpiece? Perhaps. The greatest film of the last 30 years? Good chance. Enter ‘Kung Fury’. I was first introduced to it during last years Kickstarter Film Festival. (I posted about there here like a year ago.) It was successfully funded within its first 2 days, bringing in over 600k in donations. That was literally 400k over their actual goal. For good reason.
Kung Fury is a 80s action comedy with some of the most over the top fight scenes you’re bound to find in a movie in this lifetime. While it barely clocks in over 30 mins, I promise they squeezed more than enough in there to hold your attention. Everything from Gattling Gun toting Vikings to Eye Laser shooting Velociraptors (Jurassic Park WHO?!) to Killer Arcade Machines. Seriously, it has it all. Oh, did I mention Thor? Yeah, Thor’s in it too.

To sum it up, Kung Fury is a bad ass renegade cop full of corny 1 liners who must travel back in time to kill Hitler (Yes, you read that correctly.) Did I mention Hitler know’s karate? No? Well, he does. If you’ve never landed in a perfect split after jumping well over 300 ft in the air, then maaaaybe this isn’t for you. The rest of us however? The 8million + views in 3 days speaks for itself. Now that I’ve prepped you, click play below and spend possibly the best 31 mins of your life. Feel free to leave a comment or hit me on twitter with your opinions.

We’ve made it to week 3! This weeks picks come from @Darfucius on twitter. I haven’t seen either one, but they look like thrillers. My kinda thing. Remember, we do #MovieClub discussions every Sunday @10pm EST on Twitter. Stop in and share your opinions.

I appreciate people dedicated to a concept. This is the 3rd EP from BoneLang in 3 months. (We last covered “III“) If you’re not looking to be overwhelmed with new music, check them out. It’s only 3 songs. There’s a little bit of everything on it. If you aren’t a fan by song 2, maybe it’s just you.
